A Comment About Comments

I’ve had to step up security in my comments by installing a new feature. I know those are annoying, but I’m starting to get several false comments a day and it’s just going to get worse, so I apologize, but things like this are eventually necessary. I’ll probably change the feature a few times to keep the spambots from getting used to the ones I have.

Ok, so after I went through the PVP archives I sat down and clicked through the Penny Arcade archives a bit. Let me just say that the 2 guys of Penny Arcade are unbelievably wicked. The color, the style, the writing… it’s all there. I would LOVE to adapt a similar styling in my caricature work. My obsession with making my work more cartoony is not nearly over. You should really check these guys out if you are like-minded. The humor is superbly hostile and foul language abundant, so be warned.

Another CMA Success!

Yay for fun! I did another gig over at another Central Florida Karate location this past Saturday. Although I do not have any pictures, it was a lot of fun. I’d encourage anyone who has photos to tell me and I’ll send you the email address so I can post them here on the blog. Well, off to work.

The Night After…

OH WOW. I am beat. I just got home from Nick and am exhausted. I worked my first gig this morning and it went fantastic. I drew from 10am to 3pm and did over 40 caricatures(we had to make a list). Just about every kid who came to class signed up to get one done. All the kids were great and we had a ton of fun together. Working this gig really honed me in on the time I’m spending on my inks, too.

Sadly, my camera died shortly after taking 3 pics, but we did manage to get some video of me drawing a couple kids. I can’t wait to  do this again. I had a lot of fun and it was a great learning experience for me. Well, that’s all I really had to say tonight. Now to get some sleep.
