More Head.
August 20th, 2010 Posted in caricature, liveMore head drawrings for your viewing pleasure.

I’m A Headcase!
August 18th, 2010 Posted in caricature, liveMore head-only draws from the stands. I can’t help but love doing these. I know everyone loves the situational stuff, but head-only draws are like my therapy. I really feel like I can exaggerate more and get a better likeness.

Off The Turnbuckle!
August 3rd, 2010 Posted in caricature, celebrity, studioSo, I went through a bit of a wrestler phase a bit ago and this was a piece I was messing around with at the bookstore. In an effort to make a busy professional-looking piece I inked the whole thing and have since digitally colored it. There are still some tweaks I’d like to make, but all in all I like the look and feel. I hope you dig it, too.
Frak Your Face Up!
July 27th, 2010 Posted in caricature, liveHA! After a week of thinking Brighthouse turned my cable off, I found the modem sitting by the tower… unplugged. I lose. Heh. So, things have been busy all around in my life right now, which is cool with me. There are a lot of new things I’m excited about and want to share. In the meantime, how about you just settle for some jacked up faces

Giggity Giggity Gig Time!
July 14th, 2010 Posted in caricature, liveOk, I said I was going to be on the ball and here I am. Progress. I would have had this up this morning, but I was having some computer problems that I’ve spent the whole day trying to fix. So, ANYWAY… Here are a bunch of draws from a recent private event I did for work. Easily, one of the best gigs ever. The client was fun, the guests were great and best of all I felt really good about what I was drawing. Now, I’ve made the pics click-able for a side-by-side comparison.
So, more to come people! I’ve got some cool work I’ve been doing that I really want to share with you. I so excited!
Back On The Ball!
July 9th, 2010 Posted in caricature, rantingSo, no secret here. I’ve been slacking. There’s been a lot going on, but not enough that it should have torn me away from my passion to draw. I feel guilty that I’ve been so distant and uninspired lately. My last sketchpad was a disappointment even to myself. Looking through it was looking at someone who was not having fun anymore.
Work has been disappointing in a personal way. While I love my job and role, there’s a part of me that wants to push the boundaries and be challenged in a way my work can’t offer. This is always tugging at me, whispering in my ear every time I draw an adorable mermaid or princess. This and other work-related events have made me realize that I’m ready for the next step, in a very real way.
Personally, there are things in my life that have been subtly prying through me; each little factor tearing into me little by little until I’ve just retracted and become complacent. The problem is, I’m allowing these things to get in my way. When I look at the people I admire, I see myself as SO lazy. Katie Cook, Jason Seiler… these people are constantly posting and working. They fill themselves with their art. I’m not saying I’m doing nothing, but I need to turn this around. I’m going to make a commitment to myself and my art that I will be more diligent. I will be more purposeful. There will not be a time I do not have a pad or pencil ready to draw the slightest little thing.
As part of my new commitment, I’m going to share some draws I’ve been too lazy to scan and felt too stifled by myself to post.

Thank you to all who support me and follow this blog. I’ll give you more than ever to look at.
Dexter For Sale!
April 8th, 2010 Posted in caricature, celebrity
So, here’s the low down. I’m going to be doing more selling of work and trying to be more proactive with my commissions and freelance. This will help make me more responsible and attentive (at least in theory). Plus, I want to get out there. I am so hungry for more then what the stands have to offer. So, I put this up for 3 days. Starting bid is ten bucks. Hope you like the draw!
Rey Mysterio.
February 5th, 2010 Posted in bookstore, caricatureOk, one more. This time with markers and colored pencils.

The Ultimate Warrior!
February 4th, 2010 Posted in caricature, celebrityYeah… see what time I’m posting this at? I didn’t get started till real late and then was too far in to stop. I had to color it. I’ve got a couple more coming as well. I’ll completely blame Mike “Locoduck” Duron for putting this in my head. After watching wrestling for the first time since I was 12, I started thinking of it more this week. So, we’ll do a couple of these guys and see how fast it takes for me to get distracted by something else.
