More head-only draws from the stands. I can’t help but love doing these. I know everyone loves the situational stuff, but head-only draws are like my therapy. I really feel like I can exaggerate more and get a better likeness.

HA! After a week of thinking Brighthouse turned my cable off, I found the modem sitting by the tower… unplugged. I lose. Heh. So, things have been busy all around in my life right now, which is cool with me. There are a lot of new things I’m excited about and want to share. In the meantime, how about you  just settle for some jacked up faces

Giggity Giggity Gig Time!

Ok, I said I was going to be on the ball and here I am. Progress. I would have had this up this morning, but I was having some computer problems that I’ve spent the whole day trying to fix. So, ANYWAY… Here are a bunch of draws from a recent private event I did for work. Easily, one of the best gigs ever. The client was fun, the guests were great and best of all I felt really good about what I was drawing. Now, I’ve made the pics click-able for a side-by-side comparison.

So, more to come people! I’ve got some cool work I’ve been doing that I really want to share with you. I so excited!

On With Their Heads!

I guess everyone has their art phases. Right now, in terms of my caricatures, I’m really finding more satisfaction in my head only draws. In fact, when looking through the photos I’d taken this month, I found only 2 face and body draws. I’ve grown bored of the gags and silly speech bubbles for the time being. When I’m just focusing on the face only, I tend to draw a much better likeness. Or at any rate, I draw a much funnier likeness.

After two years, I guess I’m still looking for my visual place. There’s a lot that has improved, but there’s so much more I can do.

I Loves Me Some Dinos!

I love drawing dinosaurs at the stands. Ever since I started doing the monster cards and such, it’s been a lot easier to understand the structure of a dinosaur. Plus, no one can tell you it’s not a dinosaur. Can’t prove it, haha!

What’s Up.

I’m back! I know, you’re overwhelmed, hehe. Honestly, I had a great time at ICC in Atlanta. The above draw ended up being the only pic I took despite doing several on my second day there. I don’t know why I do that. I suppose it’s cause I’m focused more on the drawing then the picture taking. Despite the interest being lower then expected, I am going to return next year for a second try. This convention has marked a turning point in my life. I had the chance to meet some amazing new people and get a glimpse of something really creative. Hopefully, there will more amazing things to come.
